Only "Most Trusted" went to a different car company, Lexus, which makes sense given the Japanese brand's decades-long reputation compared to Tesla's 10-plus years of car production.
For non-luxury choices, Subaru was named the top brand for the third time in the past five years. This year marked the first time Tesla had won any KBB accolades. The KBB brand awards are based on feedback from 12,000 new-vehicle shoppers and perception data pulled annually.
