The cuts come just one month after it offered similar discounts for users in China, as the cloud service provider attempts to lure customers to build large language models and applications based on its products. “We will continue to reduce cloud computing cost as the world is at a critical juncture in the transition from traditional computing to AI computing, where the vast majority of computing takes place on public cloud platforms,” said Yuan Qian, president of Alibaba Cloud’s smart international division.
