How to mute someone in DMs on Instagram
1. Tap the arrow in the top right corner to go to your DMs
Tap the DM arrow in the top right corner of your feed Credit: Andy Moser / Instagram 2. Tap the chat of the person you want to mute
3. Tap their name at the top of the chat page
4. Tap the switches at the top and make sure they're blue to mute the person's messages and/or call notifications
5. To unmute, uncheck the switches and make sure they're back to gray
