A celebration and recognition of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month will be held on Friday, May 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Cerritos Library, 18025 Bloomfield Ave., Cerritos.
Special guest: Rep. Derek Tran (D-Cypress). Hosted by La Palma City Councilmember Janet Keo and Cerritos Mayor Frank Yokoyama. Guests: Artesia Maor Ali Taj and Cypress Mayor Pro Tem Leo Medrano. Co-host supporteres: Cerritos Mayor Pro Tem Lynda P. Johnson, Cerritos City Councilmember Mark Pulico and Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Cerritos).
Supporters also include La Palma Chamber of Commerce, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Cerritos and Asian Pacific American Public Affairs.
The event will feature entertainment and light refreshments.
