Republican Sen. John McCain is erotice empowerment workshopbeing compared to a Harry Potter character following his shocking vote against the "skinny repeal," a watered-down version of a failed GOP bill meant to take down Obamacare.
McCain, who recently announced he has brain cancer, had given little indication he'd vote no alongside just two other Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski early Friday morning. (By the way those other senators were fearlessly battling the bill long before McCain made his shocking turn.)
Huh. Kind of sounds familiar. Who else in our history has looked like a bad guy, but kind of ended up helping everyone out? After the Senate flew into a tizzy, actor and Twitter master George Takei drew an interesting connection between McCain and Severus Snape from the Harry Potter franchise.

See, everyone thought Snape was a pure evil Death Eater who may have done some nice things along the way. But no, that wasn't the case. He was just hopelessly trying to protect Harry, and was actually against Voldemort the whole time.
