That's how Ty Palowski, who lives in San Antonio, Texas, decided he'd try to beat the heat in his steamy apartment. His landlord refused to do anything about the sweltering conditions, so Palowski took matters into his own hands.
As a recent engineering grad, Palowski sought refuge where few of us would -- his bathroom. By hijacking water from the water pipe leading into his toilet, Palowski was able to create a mini convection cooler. His device is made of just four major components: tubing, a fan, a radiator, and an Arduino for turning it off and on.

Palowski's ingenuity paid off.
"Yoo that's so cold!," he remarks when it's finally up and running.
Despite his satisfaction, Palowski doesn't recommend recreating his DIY cooler.
"I want to say don't try this at home," he says. "Just for the fact that you could flood your whole apartment or house."
At the moment Palowski's channel is pretty new, but we're hoping soon he'll share engineering tricks that we can all use.
